The most adulterous nation in the world, the more pleasurable it is. Thais are patriotic in word and deed, they learn from the past and keep this tradition strong.
Polygamy is an English ‘big word’. For example, the Thais cannot dig their ears and apply it to their long beautiful history of a homogeneous society - The Land of the Free, which means Thailand.
Polygamy, which is having more than one husband or wife, has been banned in Thailand since 1935.
Here is the living proof.
Man in Thailand has 4 wives who don't mind sharing him. His first wife says she's proud of him.
According to Malaysian Chinese news site
China Press, the husband initially went viral on the Internet for having three wives.
Perhaps not content with a crowd, the man recently gained a new wife.
“A man in Thailand has gone viral for his extraordinary marital‘ achievement ’; That means living with seven wives under one roof. ”
“Ong Dam, the young polygamist is a tattoo artist with his SEVEN wives”
One day, during the outbreak of the pandemic, Tum told her he wanted another wife to join the family. Pla was shocked but said it would be okay as long as Tum loved them both the same. (Pla is on the left)
“Saying that she married him not for money but because they have been through a lot together, Pruksawan said, "the entire family loves one another". She has the last words: "I'm proud of my husband." ( The blonde lady-top on left)
The above is neither isolated nor one in a million Thai. You may not aware but If you notice that the family head of your good neighbour is seldom home, That is a tell-tale sign as he could be with his 2nd or 3rd, and 4th families.
Thais in general love to have a big family, and we take to hearts the favourite proverb: “United we stand and divided we fall” and move on with life.

Gary Hall, A Thailand national adds:
Polygamy is a much older tradition here, with the essential guideline being “if you can handle them, you can have them”.
The custom survived into the 21st century in modified form. You could have as many as you wanted (and would have you), so long as you legally divorced the last one before marrying the next. No one cared if all continued to cohabitate or if each ‘princess’ was set up in her little realm. Nobody’s business.
One of my best Thai friends had such an arrangement. He was living with this 3rd wife when I met him. But as far as he was concerned he was still the husband of all 3. I got to know wife 2, who had a nice house a couple of hours drive from the then-domicile of hubby and wife 3. She came to visit them often and also to receive them together or separately at her place. All seemed quite comfortable and friendly with one another.
Marion Delgado Another Thailand national adds:
You can marry legally one. But marry more than one outside the country's law. They would call common law. You marry and have one wife she is mia luang (Wive one legal) Once you get a mistress, wife one is Mia Yai, and the mistress is mia noi (minor wife) you can have more than one mia noi. Then you can have a girlfriend she is called gaeek.
My wife is Mia luang but I call her mia annoy.
Matteo Bassini from Bangkok adds:
Many tourists come here in search of wives.
They like the fact that the wife is easy to score. It is so easy to find a wife but not well educated or mentally good, but the boys do not care. This is why you have heard so much about boys being cheated on by their Thai wives, Like stealing their money.
They think that women work as prostitutes because they have no other choice (although it is very easy to find a job elsewhere that pays the same amount and does not even require a high school degree). So they (men) immediately get involved with a prostitute. Women have to score stupid boys there and build relationships with them because it benefits them (girls) financially.
So when such women do these things only for money, they can start behaving kindly and lovingly and offer her. Bonus points to look like a black skin and a 12-year-old.
Because there is no way these guys will find a girl who is willing to stay with them in their country. Really rich guys will only buy one model, but these white guys who come to Thailand can’t afford it, so they buy girls from the bar instead.
Is there any reason not to marry a Thai girl? My friend was getting a massage in Bangkok, and when finished, the girl told him, "Never marry a Thai girl" Kaj Feis a Netherland national says
Anyone who marries a Thai bar girl and expects her to behave like a conscientious wife is dumb.
How many foreigners do you think the girls watch and experience; coming to the country, bang the girls, on the cheap preferably, and then leave the girl to go on in that sad cycle of misery? And you expect those girls NOT to treat foreigners like a walking ATM?
If you marry an entertainment girl, you should treat her like that even after marriage. You have the money, you have the power and she obeys. Isn't that your idea of a good marriage? Or try dating church girls or any other place where you can meet girls with normal occupations, treat her with respect… you will even get respect and love in return!
Despite this, all the children born to man and his other 'wives' take his surname.
"People are bragging about their husbands on Facebook. Well, my husband happens to have two wives!
Nextshark reported that the family with nine children (three were from his deceased first wife) often appear on Thai television, advising Thai viewers on how to have a long and happy marriage.
